In order to improve the quality of life of the elderly and keep up with the pace of the Internet, under the support of the provincial support for volunteer service programs, the School of Business Administration Volunteer Association Youth Volunteer Team, in conjunction with the 701 community and the Shouyi Road Social Work Station, jointly carried out volunteer activities in local community. Through communication with the community in charge, the service team, according to the interests and needs of the elderly, finally decided to teach the elderly to use Cropping, Meituxiuxiu and publicize the knowledge of anti-fraud as the content of the service, guiding the elderly to edit and produce the video, to carry out a five-week voluntary activities, so that the elderly can have some fun, and the elderly have something to learn.
The first three weeks about the use of video editing methods and skills: every Thursday at 3:00 p.m., the two speakers and volunteers of the Youth Volunteer Team will carry out activities in the 701 Community Activity Center for the Elderly. The docents review what has been taught before and then teach new content. The fourth week focused on a new application: Meituxiuxiu, and spent only one class period on it, simply teaching the elderly how to make puzzles, crop and add filters. The fifth week of the activity was the last visit to the community in this semester, and the service team gave an anti-fraud talk with the theme of breaking through consumer tricks and safeguarding consumer rights and interests.
During the lecture, the lecturer mentioned seven common types of fraud, such as code-sweeping gift scams, health care scams, housing and pension scams, etc., analyzing real cases and sharing their own experiences or those around them who have been cheated. Elderly people actively interacted with the lecturer and shared their experience in fraud prevention.
The community activities in the love in the capital, shared governance Shouyi Road Street Community Micro-Public Welfare Project Competition won the top ten micro-public welfare projects, and successfully landed in the community practice.
